Brrrrr?

Heading to NYC March 14th. how%26#39;s the wheather?

taxi transportation normally $45 to JFK, is there any lower than that?

Brrrrr?

Here%26#39;s the website that describes all the transport options from JFK. Cheapest is the train.

You might also consider the bus that goes to Grand Central or Port Authority. (Don%26#39;t take the bus that drops people at their hotels. It takes forever).

It really depends on how many are travelling, how much luggage you have and where you%26#39;re going to decide which is best.

It%26#39;s very cold here now and we just had more snow. Go to wunderground.com to see average temps etc.

Brrrrr?

The rate you have is pretty standard for cab fare, and I would recommend a cab over other options from JFK to Manhattan to save time and hassle.

As for the weather, yikes, who knows? Take along some long silk underwear, good boots, warm topcoat, hat and scarf just in case. You will ikely need them in the evening, regardless. Also take layers, i.e., stuff you can peel off if the day turns warm. Buy an umbrella when you get there if you need one and your hotel does not provide. March is sometimes a windy, rainy month. Cheap umbrellas can go blooey on you in 10 seconds if a squally windy rain kicks up. Better to go to a good department store and buy a strong one than go to a corner grocery or drug store and find yourself buying many cheap ($9.99) ones. Even in the rain, New York is fantastic!
