City Pass

Is the city pass worth getting for mom and 12 year old son?

City Pass

Hi

I think that the topic has been covered before. If you go to all the places that is included in the City Pass then I guess it is worth it. But you have to look at their homepage and see if you think you will go to all the places that is included. My wife and I did buy a city Pass when we went to NYC in July last year but we didn%26#39;t visit all the places that were included so I%26#39;m not sure if it was worth it from an economical point of view. I have posted a trip report with pictures from our trip to NYC on my homepage http://gardkarlsen.com. Maybe you can find some useful information there :-)

City Pass

Figure out which of the things on the pass you were already planning to do and how much it would have cost for the 2 of you. If the entry fees are more than the Citypass than it%26#39;s worth it. Just be aware that while the Citypass includes general entrance into the Museum of Nat. History, it doesn%26#39;t include entry into the Space Museum or the IMAX movie. If you%26#39;re buying it primarily for that, you might be better off buying a combo ticket at the museum for all their things.

If you were planning to go to MOMA anyway, I think it will be worth it b/c the entry fee there is steep ($20 for adults). Also remember the CityPass allows you to jump qs I think.

I think it%26#39;s worth it. I%26#39;ve never used everything on it in one visit, but the convenience and savings for the benefits I have used make it a value to me.

Definitely worth it. My daughter and wife visired all 6 attractions in a week and I saw 5. They saved $52.50 and managed to jump the queue at the ESB as well as getting a free Audio Tour.

If you%26#39;re like me, you want to get things in advance. Many, if not all, of the sights have you pay a fee for reservations on the Internet so the price would actually be higher than just the entrance charge. That makes the City Pass an even better deal IF you visit all the sights.

If you are staying for more than 3 days, you might also want to consider getting a %26#39;new york pass%26#39;. They are more expensive, but they included a longer list of places with paid admission.

We bought a 7 day pass for $121.50 when we went in Sept 04. Had we paid admission to all the places we visited, we would have paid at least $90 more per person.

my question is, i know a lot places you have to have reservations. how does that work with the nypass?

Can you post the web site of where to purchase the city pass?

Thanks a bunch! ;-)
