My family of 5 have tickets for the Lion King. We have never been to a Broadway play and was wondering what would be the proper attire?

There was an argument about this a while back on this forum... I say dress comfortably! Some people like to get dressed up for B%26#39;way shows, but it%26#39;s not necessary. Jeans and sneakers are fine!

People wear everything from evening gowns to t-shirts and flip-flops on Broadway. I usually go somewhere in the middle- ';dressy casual';- nice pants or a skirt. I suggest that you wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. If you feel uncomfortable in a t-shirt with others more dressed up, don%26#39;t do it. Some people enjoy having an excuse to ';dress up';. If you do, go for it! Really, anything goes. However you choose to dress you will probably see someone else in the theater dressed similarly.
