Avenue Q

The tickets for rear mezzanine for this show are $46 a piece via telecharge (Broadway Box Office doesn%26#39;t have any discount codes for this one). How%26#39;s the view from rear mezzanine at the Golden Theater? Is it worth it to pay double for orchestra seats? I%26#39;d rather not pay that much. Any other input is appreciated.

Personally, when I go to the theater I like sitting in the best seats. Depends on what it%26#39;s worth to you.

Hi, saltpeanuts.

I haven%26#39;t seen Avenue Q from the rear mezzanine (only from the front). I saw it from the front row, actually, after winning those lotteried discount tickets. (You could try the lottery tickets if you%26#39;re willing to take the chance of your not winning any seats.) ';Avenue Q'; was an awesome, fun, wild, and unique experience. I love that show!

That being said, I personally would pay the extra to be closer to the action and down in the orchestra seats. Without spoiling anything about the plot of the show, I just have to say that seeing the puppets up close made me appreciate the subleties and creativity that go into their movements (or rather the movements the actors gave them).

Enjoy the show!

You are safe with the rear mezzanine tickets. I sat in the very last row of the theatre in the mezzanine for Avenue Q and the view was still fine. The theatre is not as big as many Broadway theatres, so you don%26#39;t feel like you are miles from the stage, evcen when you are in the mezz. I%26#39;ve sat in other theatres that had two or three balconies and you feel far away from the performers. Avenue Q doesn%26#39;t feel that way. Go for the cheaper seats and save your money for something else.

thanks everyone!
