ice skating

We%26#39;re visiting NY for the first time at the end of March and my daughters are looking forward to ice skating either in Central Park or at the Rockefeller Centre. Any recommendations as which one we should visit?

From what I have heard the one in Central Park is a lot bigger. I didnt even see the one at the Rockerfeller but went skating in Central Park. It was absolutely fab and the setting is wonderful with all the beautiful buildings of Central Park in the back round. Definetly one of the highlights of my trip.

You%26#39;ll visit Rockefeller Center anyway as it%26#39;s a must see. But I%26#39;d do the actual skating in the park. Much bigger and I think more fun.

what time of the year does BOTH ice-skating rings close??

I heard that they close around April, which is a shame as thats when i go!

The rink in Central Park closes on 3rd April and the Rockefeller one closes on 8th April.

Central park, saw both a couple of days ago, Rockefeller Centre is small and a level down from the main street so you don%26#39;t have much of a view. Music is good though. Central park has amazing vista%26#39;s all around and much larger.
