I love NY pizza and plan to eat plenty on my trip there in April. I saw that restaurant.com is offering a 50% off coupon from Bravo Pizza. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this place and how good is their pizza? thanks!
ny pizza
Never heard of it.
All NY pizza is not created equal. There are lots of places that serve big slices of goppy, overly-laden cheese of poor quality, and lots of people think this is the ';real'; NY pizza. There are four really great places, and I think you should try them all! My personal favorite is John%26#39;s, with locations on Bleecker St. (the original), on W. 44th (in a converted church), and elsewhere. Then there%26#39;s Lombardi%26#39;s downtown, Grimaldi%26#39;s in downtown Brooklyn, and Patsy%26#39;s in Spanish Harlem (there are several other Patsy%26#39;s around town, but they%26#39;re not related to the original!).

thanks for the info bettina. i will have to include those places. there%26#39;s something about venturing into brooklyn that scares me though. any thoughts on this anyone?
%26gt; John%26#39;s, on W. 44th (in a converted church).
This is right in heart of Times Square and Theatre District. If you are gonna be in that area, try this first. It is a very large place, a lot of busget oriented folks go here pre-theatre. They also have a full range of non-pizza food, mostly Italian style pasta (zita, lasagna, etc)...

Don%26#39;t be fearful about venturing into Brooklyn! In fact, the best views of the downtown skyline are from the Bklyn Heights Promenade. Ever see ';Moonstruck?'; A tour of Brooklyn Heights is wonderful, just a quick subway ride away.
Nothing to be afraid about in Brooklyn. Brooklyn Heights is a beautiful landmark neighborhood with old brownstones, tree-lined streets, gas lamps, parks and tons of Mom and Pop stores, cafes, and restaurants. Wish I could afford to live there. And the Promenade offers the best view of Manhattan. The 2 or 3 subway to Clark Street Station will drop you off right there. Then walk over to Grimaldi%26#39;s for your pizza fix and walk over the Brooklyn Bridge.
thanks for easing my uncertainty. will have to take a trip over.
