Hi there
Could anyone recommend some really nice hotels to stay in when we travel over to New York to get married, we are getting married in a church just off times square and broadway so anywhere around this area would be great. Willing to spend up to 400 a night. Also if anyone could recommend a nice restaurant for approx 25 people.
Thanks in advance.

I think you%26#39;d do very well at the Hotel Casablanca which is a ';five-diamond'; boutique hotel just off of Broadway in the heart of Times Square.

You%26#39;d probably be able to land one of their best rooms for under $400 per and that would include all taxes.
Now, if you want the creme de la creme of restaurants for a small group (25) you might contact the 21 Club and make inquiries about their upstairs room which seats 32. The three course dinner menu is $68 excluding taxes, gratuities and drinks.

I cannot think of a more luxurious place to have dinner and I would make inquiries about such a possibility as soon as possible. The 21 Club is far and away the most celebrated restaurant in New York, so prestigious that newcomers don%26#39;t even think about a table in the regular dining room until they have become known there.
You would think it%26#39;s a stuffy place but the miracle is, it is not.
Check it out.

Both of Carpenter%26#39;s suggestions are good. Some other options/thoughts...the Sofitel is a lovely hotel also in the area. But you don%26#39;t really need to stay in that area just b/c the church is there do you? A hotel on Central Park South with a view of the park would be very romantic. The Westin Essex House or the Ritz Carlton would fit the bill. And both of those hotels have very nice restaurants.
For more rest. info, we need a budget for that, time of food and type of ambiance. Do you want something fun/lively, something more serious? Do you want a private dining room or do you want to sit in a big rest. etc.
Thanks to both you guys for your suggestions.
Nywhiz to answer your questions I would be looking for a restaurant thats fairly laid back and chilled out and the price range would be in the $100-$150 range plus wine and drinks.
Thanks again

$100-150 for 25 people? Per person? Do you expect people to dress up or be casual? I%26#39;m confused about what you%26#39;re looking for. When you say laid back do you want casual? What kind of food?
I would be looking for American style food with a twist!
When I said a casual, laid back restaurant I didn%26#39;t mean that we would be going in jeans and sneakers just somewhere that isn%26#39;t too fussy and OTT but at the same time has excellent food and a good standard of service. I assume my guests will be dressed in proper wedding day attire. As its our wedding day I am willing to spend that bit extra as they will have all made the effort to come over.
Thanks again
