Best friend%26#39;s daughter is also coming to NY ina couple of weeks time. She wants to know if there will be any problems using her hair stylers plus how long would it take to charge camcorder batteries.She has bought an adaptor here in GB. We run on 230v a/c transforming down to 12v 1000 milliamp to charge camcorder batteries. Hope this means something to someone out there %26#39;cos it certainly doesn%26#39;t to me!

Can%26#39;t comment on the hair stylers but my camcorder and cameras charged fine using the normal adaptors.I just put them on overnight.

If she looks at her hairstraightners and other electrical goods most things are dual voltage nowadays. Hope this helps.

If your electrical equipement says 100-240 volts you should be fine.

Your 230v hairdyer will work out here if you get a travel adaptor plug for it, BUT it will be incredibly slow! You can pick up a hairdyer out here for less than $20, that%26#39;s less than 锟斤拷12 to you!

Many hotels in the U.S. have hair dryers in the room. check the hotel where you are staying....
