I%26#39;m travelling from the UK to NY in the summer.

Can anyone recommend any reliable online theatre ticket web sites where I can book tickets for broadway shows ?

Go to playbill.com From there there are links for buying almost every show. However if you register for free, you%26#39;ll also have access to discount codes for some shows. You can then buy online, on the phone or in person on arrival. Broadwaybox.com also has the discount codes available without having to register but no other info there.

There%26#39;s also a TKTS booth (2 actually) for same day discounts when you%26#39;re here. tdf.org has a listing of what shows have been available at the booths.

Each show uses an exclusive ticketing agent, usually Telecharge or Ticketron. So, when you look for discount codes on www.broadwaybox.com (which also publishes the playbill.com codes), they direct you back to the ticketing agents. These are all secure sites, so no worries about using your credit cards, plus you can elect to have your tickets held at the box office.

If your choices aren%26#39;t available, you can order premium-priced tickets through www.broadway.com.

I don%26#39;t recommend the TKTS booths because you spend way too much time waiting on long lines, and you won%26#39;t know what%26#39;s available until you reach the box office. And then you often don%26#39;t get very good seats.
