need feedback on hotel choice for upcoming trip. need a room with two beds and choices are sofitel for $199/night or omni berkshire for $149/night on special promo. i know it rates higher, is sofitel worth additional money? please advise

Both really great hotels and those prices sound terrific (almost too good to be true?). Biggest difference is location. Sofitel is on the west side nearer the theaters. I%26#39;d personally save the money and do the Omni. The Sofitel is much newer and more modern but the Omni is classic NY.

Sofitel is a wonderful hotel, but if you can save $50 per night at the Omni, by all means do it. It is a fine place, as well.
