cab or limo ?

HI after much reseach have finally booked a hotel for trip in March Affinia Dumont and flying into Newark is best to just get a cab ( and how much should it cost) or is it better to pre book a car( how much is average and also recc any good ones ).

thanks in advance

cab or limo ?

NYC sets the rate of a cab ride from JFK or La Guardia...I think it%26#39;s about $45. Newark is in New Jersey, so I don%26#39;t think they%26#39;re bound by the same restriction. I%26#39;d plan on spending about $60 for a Newark to midtown NYC cab ride. Sure it%26#39;s a ridiculous rip-off, but if you have luggage and don%26#39;t have the patience to navigate your way via bus, train, railroad, etc., you have to spring for it and chalk it up to part of the price for going on vacation!

cab or limo ?

Thanks do you think it would be better to book a limo or car ( would it be around same price or dearer.

We arrive around 7pm is it safe to get trains ( two girls, my friend thinks this would be an adventure i%26#39;m not so sure).

Try limos.com. They have a list of many companies with a great range of cars and options. You can select to get quotes from several companies through the one request.

We used md limousines last week through limos.com and were more than happy with the price quoted, and the service was excellent. Drivers very helpful and we did not need even to tell them where we were going when we were picked up, never mind full directions as I understand is needed for cab drivers.

We stayed at the Affinia in November last year and it was fantastic, we tried to book to go back this year but companies over here don%26#39;t seem to have any room availability. Anyway why I%26#39;m posting!

The hotel can arrange the pick up from the airport if you contact them the staff are extremely helpful and they negotiate an all inclusive price which helps. It cost us, I think, about $70 and it certainly took the hassle out of aranging it. Just a tip not many of the limo drivers actually know where some of the hotels are are also the hotel can be known as the Dumont Plaza.

Christopher the doorman is a friendly guy who will do his best to help you out with any questions. Have a great time.

Is the cab $45 from Laguardia to Times Square area? How far is it and how long does it take in the middle of the day?

';Trains'; from Newark to midtown NYC? No New Yorker would do this; why should you? You%26#39;ll have plenty of time to get adventurous when you%26#39;re in Manhattan trying to go cross-town!

thanks everyone .

why wouln%26#39;t NY orkers take the train is it unsafe ?

Any more tips on Affinia and surrounding area%26#39;s, eating etc

getting excited now

Book a car from Newark. Cab service there is iffy and not worth the risk.
